This body of work refers to the language of still life photography but lends it a contemporary twist as I use macro/abstract photography combined with focus stacking techniques. This creates a highly detailed hyperreal three-dimensional affect on my subject. I'm using these techniques to draw attention to the huge issue of food waste in contemporary life. My aim is to find way to make us look afresh at this through an image that is aesthetically beguiling.
